There has been big announcements recently which are very positive for Cork. Brittany Ferries and Air France have announced new direct routes to Cork. This gives new options for groups or families wishing to sign up for one of the many Summer programmes that CEC has to offer.
It has been announce that Emiratis will be able to travel to Ireland to study without having to obtain a visa.
Brittany Ferries announces new route
BRITTANY Ferries have announced a new route from Cork into northern Spain.
Starting at the end of April, the service will link Cork and Santander, making two return-sailings a week.
It will be the first time there has ever been a ferry service linking Ireland and Spain.
Tickets for this route will be on sale by the end of January.
The company will operate two direct return sailings weekly from Cork to Santander in Northern Spain, from the end of April to November of this year.
Air France: Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Cork
The new daily service will commence on May 26th and be running through to October 27th next.
Flights will depart Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 14.55 (local time) and arrive at Cork at 15.50. The Cork-Paris flight departs daily at 16.30pm and arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 19.20pm (local time).
All flights will be operated by Air France Hop! using Embraer 170 aircraft, carrying up to 76 passengers.
Fares start from €129 return in economy including all taxes.

Emirates: Travel Visa Free to Ireland
From January 31st Emirates will be able to travel to Ireland to study visa free. This will speed up the process for students wishing to come here to improve their English.
