Cork World Book Fest
This week, Cork proudly celebrates its 14th Anniversary of the Cork World Book Festival!
In 13 years the festival has grown immensely; embracing home-grown Irish talent as well as International authors from all over the world. This year, the festival welcomes Chang Ying-Tai, Nicholas Shaespeare, Dušan Šarotar, Luz Pichel, Olga Novo, to name a few.
Cork World Book Festival aims to bring literature and reading to the public, providing an inclusive event where everyone is welcome. Throughout this week, there are many interactive workshops, readings and even mindfulness seminars arranged for anyone and everyone to take part in!
Always wanted to write a novel, but have no idea where to begin? Be sure to visit the ‘That Killer First Chapter’ Workshop on Saturday for some handy tips and tricks to get your creative juices flowing!
If you’re free all day Saturday, then head down to the Grand Parade for the World Book Festival Market. With tasty food and some of the best booksellers around, it is the perfect place to enjoy a book and a snack.
The festival will take place in the Cork City Library and Triskel Christchurch, and there will also be events on the Grand Parade and in Bishop Lucey Park. There will also be pop up events in the streets and cafes of Cork!
